I’ve just started playing with large blocks of colour in my knitted ‘Making Waves’ shawls. I like the contrast between the underlying small, repetitive knitted structure with the large, abstract colour design…

Some examples of the commissioned work ‘in progress’ in my studio at the moment – I love having more than one textile technique to work on at a time… These pieces cover macrame and knitted fabrics with ‘woven-in’ strips of re-cycled fabric.

Just playing with ‘patches’ of off-cut silk fabric (of my ‘Twin Hydrangeas’ digital print design). The idea is to let these richly textured squares evolve into a decorative shawl or neck-piece, one square at a time…
